  • New Year’s Whole Frozen Turkey
  • 30 gr butter Rosemary Fresh thyme
  • 4 cups rice
  • 200 gr chestnuts
  • 20 gr pine nuts
  • 20 gr currants
  • 1 onion Allspice Salt Pepper
  • 1/2 bunch dill

Step 1 :Separate turkey skin from the meat


Step 2 :Combine butter, thyme, salt and rosemary and rub on and under turkey’s skin


Step 3 :Truss your turkey with nonflammable butcher’s twine


Step 4 :Fill turkey with bay leaves and put inside an oven bag


Step 5 :Cook for 2 hours at 180 degrees


Step 6 :Let it sit inside the oven for 30 minutes (to absorb all liquids)


Step 7 :Rice: In a heated pan, cook onions in olive oil and butter until slightly browned


Step 8 :Stir rinsed rice into the pan


Step 9 :Then add roasted and peeled chestnuts


Step 10 :Add salt, allspice, pepper and sugar


Step 11 :Add soaked currants and pine nuts


Step 12 :Add water and cook


Step 13 :Sprinkle with dill and serve.
