Pınar Shrimp
With the locally sourced, wild-caught tiny shrimp from the Pınar Fish family, it’s easier to make such gourmet dishes as fried shrimp, shrimp in a clay pot and butter shrimp.
Cooking Tips:
Shrimp Salad: Add ½ teaspoon of salt, ½ teaspoon of lemon juice and ½ tablespoon of vinegar to 4 cups of boiling water in a medium pot. Add a pack of defrosted shrimp into the water and boil them for a minute. Blanch the boiled shrimp by keeping them in cold water for 1-2 minutes and removing. Pour 4 tablespoons of olive oil and ½ tablespoon of lemon juice over them. Serve with a sprinkle of salt, and a side of lettuce and parsley.
Fried Shrimp: Melt 2 tablespoons of butter on a heated pan. Dice a small size onion and 2-3 green peppers. Sauté them for 3-4 minutes in the pan. Add 2-3 medium size diced tomatoes and a teaspoon of salt. When the tomatoes are cooked, add a pack of defrosted shrimp into the mixture. Cook for 2.5-3 minutes and serve.
